ELIGIBILITY FOR F.Y.B.Sc. ADMISSION

  1. Higher Secondary School (HSC) Certificate (10+2) or its equivalent Examination with English and three science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Geology, etc.
  2. OR

  3. Three Years Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm.) Course of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
  4. OR

  5. Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination with English and vocational subject of + 2 level (MCVC) / Medical Laboratory Technician (Subject Code P1 / P2 / P3)

Eligibility Criteria for S.Y.B.Sc. Admission - 2026-27

For Students Who Have Completed F.Y.B.Sc. from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune

  1. A student who has successfully earned at least 70% of the total credits (31 out of 44 credits) prescribed for F.Y.B.Sc. under the National Education Policy (NEP) shall be eligible for admission to S.Y.B.Sc.
  2. Students seeking admission to S.Y.B.Sc. (NEP) shall select one Major subject and one Minor subject from the three discipline-specific subjects studied during F.Y.B.Sc. The third discipline-specific subject shall be discontinued from S.Y.B.Sc. onwards.
  3. The allotment of Major and Minor subjects shall be made based on the student's preference, eligibility, academic performance, availability of seats, laboratory capacity, and the rules and regulations of the College and Savitribai Phule Pune University.
  4. In addition to the Major and Minor subjects, students shall register for the Open Elective (OE), Ability Enhancement Course (AEC), and Co-Curricular Course (CC) as prescribed under the National Education Policy (NEP) curriculum. The AEC shall be selected from the languages offered by the College, namely Marathi, OR Hindi
  5. The final allotment of Major, Minor, Open Elective (OE), Ability Enhancement Course (AEC), Co-Curricular Course (CC), and other courses shall be made by the College in accordance with the guidelines of Savitribai Phule Pune University and the National Education Policy (NEP).

Department of Botany

The Minor in Botany is offered under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and is designed to provide students with a fundamental understanding of plant science and its applications.
